Safety Play is clean. The black pigment is chemicaly bonded into the rubber and cannot come off on clothes or skin. And... Recycled rubber is odorless and is not dusty! Unlike a solid rubber surface that will absorb the heat and crack, Safety Play comes in 1/2" to 3/4" size nugets that allows the air to move through it so it can breath, this prevents the product from breaking down or rotting.
